Resource forecasting

The aim of this project is to develop two test applications:

• Short term forecasting application for ambulance location and status (SHOTAM)
• Long term forecasting of ambulance flows and calls (LOTAM)

SHOTAM will be able to predict where the ambulances in a specific area will be located in the future, on a short term basis (1 – 2 hours), as well as the probability that they are available. LOTAM will be a strategic planning tool, where it is possible to visualize and analyze historical ambulance movements and ambulance call data. LOTAM will also be able to predict where and when ambulance calls will arise, and which ambulances that are likely to answer these calls, thus it forecasts future ambulance flows.
