The software industry gather at Software Development Day
On Friday October 21, Software Development Day is arranged at Lindholmen Science Park for the seventh consecutive year. Last year, the conference had over 400 visitors from 60 companies. This year's theme is Software as a competitive edge in product development.
Software Development Day has been established as a forum where professionals share experiences and discuss trends and practical challenges in software development. The conference brings together experts from testing, development, support and software sales. Keynote speakers at this year's conference are Professor Jan Bosch from the Software Center and Svante Lidman from Ivar Jacobson International.
With its large concentration of companies with expertise in software development is Lindholmen western Sweden's IT center. The Software Center - Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg's center of excellence for software development - is the latest contribution of meeting places at Lindholmen Science Park.
- There are a variety of IT-intensive business skills overall western Sweden, and Lindholmen is a natural meeting place for industry and researchers in the IT field. Last year we had a record number of visitors and we sincerely hope that this year's conference will be just as popular, says Jörgen Hansson, Professor and Director at the Software Center.
Software Development Day is organized in collaboration between Ericsson, Volvo Group, Volvo Cars, Chalmers, University of Göteborg, IT University, Cybercom and Ascom.
