Scania partner in Lindholmen Science Park
Lindholmen Science Park has gradually evolved and is today a national center in the Swedish automotive development. This is why Scania is now focusing on a more active role through partnership with Lindholmen Science Park, and opening an office in Gothenburg. An increased need for cooperation between the traditional automotive industry and other partners and stakeholders is the reason for the establishment.
- Lindholmen Science Park is an excellent example of coordinating expertise that exists among the country's businesses, government agencies and universities. Through this partnership, Scania wants to help Lindholmen Science Park to continue the development as a national hub for coordinating research and development in areas such as transport efficiency and road safety. This benefits all parties and will strengthen Sweden's international competitiveness, says Scania's research and development manager Per Hallberg.
- This is a major breakthrough for us, says Niklas Wahlberg, CEO Lindholmen Science Park. We already have several projects with Scania and to reinforce their presence by being here physically is extremely gratifying. In addition to research and development collaborations with Chalmers and Göteborg University, we have also initiated cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, to gather national capacity and improve Sweden's global competitiveness.
