Researches from around the globe discuss intelligent electricity networks at Lindholmen, 11-13 Oct

A large conference on intelligent electricity supply networks – Smart Grids – is being held at Lindholmen, 11-13 Oct. It is sponsored by EEE Power & Energy Society and is being hosted by Chalmers. More than 300 participants have registered.

Lindholmen company won the election

Those following the Swedish general election on TV4 could see how programme leader Peter Jidhe illustrated political developments using a large touch screen. However, few are aware of the fact that the technology behind the screen was developed by the Lindholmen based company i4Sense. A screen from i4Sense is being developed right now for placement on the pedestrian street, Lindholmspiren 5.

Many interested in moving to the new main building at Lindholmen

Trafikverket, Enfo, Syntronic, Brandon, Dynagraph and Consat will shortly be moving to new premises at Lindholmspiren 3, the new extension at the centre of Lindholmen Science Park. Pharmadule and Devport are also moving into new premises in other Lindholmen buildings.

Media area growth at Lindholmen - West Sweden film days, 8-9 Oct

West Sweden film days will be held at Gothenburg Film Studios at Lindholmen, 8-9 October. The new media cluster that is forming at Lindholmen at present comprises 25 companies. The event is aimed at anybody working in the film industry.

The Venture Cup business plan competition has over the years grown to be the largest of its kind in the world. Anybody can enter their business concept. This year's competition starts with a kick-off at Chalmers Johanneberg, 7 October.

Information meeting on Electric car purchase – 7 Oct

Stockholm City and Vattenfall are coordinating their purchases of electric cars and chargeable hybrids, and are holding an information meeting. The meeting is primarily intended for purchase and vehicle administration managers at companies and organisations. Martin Borgqvist, project manager at Lindholmen Science Park, is one of the speakers and will talk about the projects that Test Site Sweden is running concerning electric cars.

From Lindholmen to Norrbotten, test seminar, 20-21 Oct

Test Site Sweden welcomes you to this year's seminar on vehicle testing, the Swedish Automotive Testing Seminar, in Arvidsjaur, 20-21 October. The seminar is a yearly forum and meeting place for the entire automotive industry, universities and test installations in Sweden.

New system for available parking spaces at Lindholmen

Many of us drive around car parks only to find that they are full. There is technology available today in the form of P-info systems, which, using wireless communication, count the parked cars and indicate the number of available spaces. During September a new P-info system has been installed at Lindholmen Science Park's large visitors car park.

Leadership seminar – 18 Nov

Lindholmen Rotary Club is a new organisation which welcomes new members. Lunch meetings every Thursday between 12.00 and 13.00. On 18 November it will hold a seminar on leadership. Meet some of the most renown company leaders in the Göteborg region. Membership is not required in order to attend the seminar.

More fun that ever at the Lindholmen relay

The Lindholmen relay (Lindholmsstafetten) has been held for the fourth year in succession. 200 teams registered and ran. Mat & Potatis (Food & Potatoes) won the gents class with a time of 38.03. Alfakrull (Alfa curls) won the ladies class with a time of 45.37 and the mixed class was won by Solnavet (Solar hub) with a time of 38.03. The prestigious prize, Best in Show, for the 'best' dressed team went to ”Clownen luktar svett” (The clown smells of sweat).

Pub P is starting up its Thursday After Work on 23 September. Pub P is found at Lindholmspiren 5 in L´s Kitchen. If you fancy an After Work on a Friday, the Bistro at Kajkanten is the place to be.
