Friday, February 7, 2014

On 30th January 2014, Carmenta AB signed an agreement to invest in Lindholmen Science Park AB. This investment is clearly connected to the research and development projects within Lindholmen Science Park, facilitating knowledge transfer between the academic world and society.

“For years, Carmenta has been engaged in the joint IT projects that we have initiated and with a particular focus on public safety. Carmenta complements and strengthens our existing ownership structure perfectly,” says Niklas Wahlberg, CEO of Lindholmen Science Park.

Carmenta is one of Sweden’s leading companies within Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and has offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Paris.

“Carmenta’s activities have a lot in common with the research and development work that is carried out at Lindholmen Science Park. Our investments include IT solutions for public safety and Security. It was a very natural step for Carmenta to become an investor within Lindholmen,” says Björn Berndtsson, CEO of Carmenta Group.

Carmenta becomes a partner of Lindholmen Science Park together with Ericsson, Chalmers University, Gothenburg City, the University of Gothenburg, Telenor, Saab AB, Volvo Group, BRG, Volvo Cars, ÅF, Semcon, Cybercom, Sigma, Consat, Norconsult, Bluetest and Aktiviteten AB.
