Surveillance and early warning

Projects in this theme area aim to improve surveillance of critical infrastructures in order to give warnings as early as possible when there is a risk of escalating public emergencies. Examples include various technologies for monitoring and detecting deviations in port areas.

In 2009 a new, large project called Information Flow Management was introduced. The project has several possible applications aiming to create a better understanding of a situation based on a common information area. Some areas of application include critical facilities such as ports, and also the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).
