EU projects at Lindholmen Science Park
Lindholmen Science Park is involved in several EU projects. Here are some of them:
HeERO (Harmonised eCall European Pilot)
- Announcement: EU Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP),Information Communication Technologies (ICT), Policy Support Programme (PSP), Objective Identifier: 1.4 Support to eCall implementation based on the 112.
- The project is a so-called A-pilot with a three-year duration.
- The project is coordinated by Ertico, a total of nine countries is participating in the pilot project.
- The HeERO project will prepare, implement and coordinate a test of eCall at a European level based on approved standards. The overall aim is to prepare for construction and maintenance of necessary infrastructure in Europe with the aim that the pan-European eCall service will be realized.
- Lindholmen Science Park will lead the Swedish pilot project by assignment of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and the Swedish Transport Administration.

ELVIRE (Electric Vehicle Communication to Infrastructure, Road Services and Electricity Supply)
- EU Seventh Framework Project – Theme: ICT.
- The project is coordinated by Continental Automotive GmbH. Lindholmen Science Park and SP are work package leaders.
- Status: Contract negotiations in progress.

COSMO Cooperative Systems for Sustainable Mobility and Energy Efficiency
- EU Seventh Framework Project – Theme: Energy Efficiently cooperative transport management systems.
- 12 European partners.
- Started: 1 November 2010, will run until June 2013.
- Lindholmen Science Park is responsible for the testing location in Gothenburg. The Swedish project is operated in collaboration with Volvo Technology and Svevia AB. The aim is to determine the reduction in CO2 emissions that can be obtained through communication between traffic lights and buses, to provide green wave, that is, adjusting traffic flow. - Started: October 2011, ending in September 2014.
- Linking the electric vehicle activities along the route Amsterdam - Copenhagen - Gothenburg.
- Guiding future investments to promote the availability of electric vehicles in the North Sea Region.
- Lindholmen Science Park is leading the work for the study of a possible EV-route between Amsterdam and Oslo.

DRIVE C2x (Driving Implementation and Evaluation of C2x Communication Technology in Europe)
- EU Seventh Framework Project – Energy Efficiently cooperative transportation management systems.
- Has 32 European partners.
- Started 1 January 2011, will run until December 31, 2013
- The purpose of the DRIVE is to evaluate a number of applications based on radio communications between vehicles and vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure. Applications include road safety, traffic efficiency and financial services. There are 8 DRIVE test sites in Europe.
- Lindholmen Science Park will be responsible for developing the tools for test, building the test site and be responsible for the operation of the test site. At the Swedish test site a number of security related applications will be evaluated by SAFER. The vehicles are 20 cars from Volvo Cars.
